On 20 June 2020, Prime Minister Modi launched Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan to empower migrant workers and rural citizens and provide livelihood opportunities.
Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on April 1 introduced the PLI or Production Linked Incentive Scheme as a part of the National Policy on Electronics.
The scheme will give incentives between 4-6% to electronic companies, provided they manufacture mobile phones and other electronic and nanoelectronic components – transistors, diodes, thyristors, resistors, capacitors, and microelectromechanical systems – in India.

On 21 September 2020, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Ghar Tak Fiber scheme; in Bihar to connect all villages with FTTH connections by March 31, 2021. The objective of this scheme is to connect all 45,945 villages; of Bihar with high-speed optical fibre internet by March 31. 2021.
PM Swanidhi Scheme
On 1st June 2020, PM Svanidhi or Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi scheme was launched by the central government; to help street vendors to resume their livelihood activities, who were affected by COVID-19. The tenure of the scheme is till March 2022.
Atmanirbhar Bharat Scheme
On 12 May 2020, Prime Minister Modi announced; a relief package of Rs 20 lakh crore to ease the coronavirus crisis. On 12 November 2020, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Atmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana; to encourage the creation of new employment opportunities amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh Employment Scheme
On 26 June 2020, Prime Minister Modi launched the Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Yojana to employ; 1.25 crore people covering 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY)
On 14th May 2020, the Government of Gujarat launched Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana (AGSY); for small businessmen, skilled workers, autorickshaw owners, electricians and barbers among others. Vivad se Vishwas scheme
On 1 February 2020, Finance Minister Sitharaman announced the Vivad Se Vishwas scheme to settle a large number of pending direct tax cases. It will resolve 483,000 direct tax-related disputes pending in various appellate fora. The scheme provides exemption on interest and penalty if the disputed tax amount is paid before 31st March 2020.
